These photographs taken by Klaus Laubmayer at the Festival de Cannes in 1992 are an independent part of a larger project ”All the World’s a Stage”.
Klaus incorporated the Red Curtain Stage to display that the entire world is a Stage, and all the men and women merely players. The Stage has been intentionally created on different areas at the Promenade de la Croisette, Cannes to draw attention, for interaction, and to encourage players to present themselves uninhibited.
The photographs were produced without street permits or restriction on free movement. Actors, producers and tourists from around the world were roaming freely on the iconic Promenade and would be amused to contemplate Burkinis will become a threat to our culture in Europe.
